Your Score: Akkadian
You scored

You are Akkadian, a blend of the incomprehensible symbols of the Sumerians with the unwritable sounds of the early Semitic peoples. However, the writing just doesn't suit the words and doesn't represent everything needed, so you end up a schizoid mess. Invented in Babylon, you're probably to blame for that tower story. However, crazy as you are, you're much loved and appreciated, and remain actively in use by records keepers long after schools have switched to other languages.

Want to look for something on LJ? According to this post, it looks like LJ/SUP are really cracking down on what you can search for on LJ.
This thread in particular is quite concerning.
On a positive note, we can't accidently search for Spice Girls.

Right now I'm confined to my desktop as my laptop is in a state that I like to think of as "in a coma." I was trying to watch AMV Hell 4 on it but I could only hear it, not see it, so I decided to download GSpot to tell me which codec I needed to get. Unfortunately GSpot does not work with my version of Vista so Windows Explorer is in a constant state of crashing and restarting. I tried going through Safe Mode but the same thing was happening. It should all hopefully be fixed in a few days.
I don't totally mind my desktop since it has XP on it, but it's so slow and always on the verge of crashing.
Last night a few of us got together for our weekly "Colin-Con" except that Colin wasn't able to make it. Someone decided to commandere it and have us get together. Instead of going to a restaurant to eat, we ate at the food court in the mall. At least we got to check out a few stores and bumped into people we knew. Afterwards we went to someone's house and we watched a movie. It was one girl's job to choose between "Fifth Element" and "A Knight's Tale" because she has trouble choosing (and between those two movies because at least a couple people hadn't seen them). It was fun, though the movie wasn't all that great.
A great movie, however, is Ober. It's about a fictional character, a miserable waiter named Edgar, who realizes he's not real. He attempts to take control of his life but things don't turn out quite how he wants it. It also has several zany moments.
Another movie that looks great is Český Sen. I'm planning on seeing it Sunday night because all the other nights it's playing I've got plans.

The official trailer for "Finishing the Game." Go see it if you can!
I just came back from seeing this movie and it was very much worth seeing. It is both hilarious and original. Roger Fan does and excellent job as Breeze Loo, and Sung Kang is, well, awesome because he's Sung Kang (and okay he can act really well). Watching the documentary, "Building a Journey: From Better Luck Tomorrow to Finishing the Game" was a nice treat because it showed the history of the BLT family, and also showed just how important MC Hammer was to the project.
Definitely one to check out!

Brilliant to the point of genius, you definitely have some advanced intelligence going on. No matter what circles you travel in, you always feel like a stranger. And it's a feeling you've learned to like. Your greatest power: Your superhuman brain Your greatest weakness: Your lack of empathy - you just don't get humans You play well with: Zombies |

Yikes, it's been a while since I last posted. Well not too much of interest has been happening - DDR, laser tag, hanging out, watching anime, reading manga, etc.
However I did see Across the Universe last week and if it's playing in your town, you really should go see it. It's definitely in my top three of movies that came out this year. They did a really good job of casting the movie and arranging the Beatles songs.
I also bought A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. That movie is hilarious. The songs are really catchy too. Man, I've been watching a few musicals lately and I'm rather enjoying them, which is usually not the case.
I still have to finish going through the Alice in Wonderland porn musical, but it's really hard since the songs are pretty bad.
That pun is unintentional. Really!
This weekend I'm going to my parents' to celebrate Canadian Thanksgiving. I have to go pick up my Greyhound ticket tomorrow so I don't have to worry about it on Friday. That should be a relaxing weekend, though with stuff going on at home, it could be pretty tense too.
Yeah, that's about it. I'm too tired to type anymore tonight.

There's a big get together this afternoon at Stanley Park and I'm not there because I got sick. A few of my friends are there (possibly in cosplay). There was a chance of rain so I didn't want to chance it because I would like to get better by tomorrow. However, by this time I'd probably be ignoring most of the people and doing some reading in the shade (most of the people don't talk to me and I find about half of them annoying).
Also, last night I was invited to go to Science World. They were having an adults only evening where there was science and a cash bar. That would have been interesting to go to. I do like Science World (except when it tries to hurt me), and it would have had a different atmosphere without children running around. Unfortunately it was last night when my cold went full blown. I was hacking and sneezing and hiding under a blanket. I managed to watch the first DVD of Bottle Fairy. I was going to watch the second but I was falling asleep.
Not much has happened since I last did a real post. The all-nighter party on the weekend was pretty good. There was a bit of drama happening there, but overall it was fun. On Wednesday G and I tried out a classic DDR game that he bought used. We were testing it out because he was giving it to someone as part of a birthday gift. I think it was the first DDR Max. Neither of us liked the game much - it was missing too many features that the later games had. Anyway, for a first DDR game, though, it's a good starter game.
Tomorrow I think I'll be lazy since I'll still be getting over this cold. Hopefully it'll be fully gone by Monday morning.
